Reserved 2.3 4 door base sasquatch 7/14/20, switched to soft top in September and delivered 12/10/21.

The intent of this build is for overlanding, not hardcore wheeling so practicality and utility are prioritized. So far I have been able to navigate through 5-6 rated trails (trails offroad app) and that is good enough for me.

I've never been off-roading, but I plan on it. I'm getting the Base too. I know mine will have the front bash plate because I got the hd bumper and sas. Do you plan on buying underbody protection? It doesn't come with rock rails either, correct? Thanks!

I do not plan on buying additional protection, I think what I have is enough for the amount and level of wheeling I do. It did not come with rock rails, the steps do that, plus they protect the body from thrown rocks

This is just a fact of life for every vehicle manufactured with frameless windows. To get a tight seal, when closed they need to inset into the weatherstripping on the body more than is tolerable for opening and closing. While this is not a Bronco specific problem, the fact that the Bronco windows are perfectly straight does mean they wobble around a lot more than say the windows on my old FRS.

Reserved 2.3 4 door base sas 7/14/20, switched to soft top in September and delivered 12/10/21. 2k miles so far in Colorado (it’s New Years today) went wheeling at 400 miles, driven through snow and wanted to share my pros and cons on the base.

the car drives like a normal suv on pavement, off-road is where it really shines. It’s sad to think some Sasquatch packages may never see dirt, but to each their own.

Pros:
- Great visibility, ergonomics in the wheel and cloth seats feel good.
- remote start via phone is awesome!!
- 2.3 4 door has plenty of getup, don’t expect to be thrown back into your seat, but passing is a breeze
- base lockers are great but no sway, still did awesome off road, so comfy. TTA is such a fun party trick but also useful.
- currently still an attention whore, more often than not I will talk to someone for a minute in the parking lot when they ask “how you liking the new bronco?!” It’ll lose its novelty soon.
- factory sas wheels protect the valve stems from damage while wheeling, something to consider when switching wheels.
- soft top is not bad on noise, keeps warmth in just fine

cons:
- Goodyear wranglers throw rocks, recommend steps or mud flaps (both in my case)
- Apple CarPlay works 4/5 times
- the windows auto-crack (what’s that term?) when doors are opened and it’s annoying, especially when they’re iced
- antenna is in the way of clearing snow from the windshield
- rear doors may be damaged from grime/snow collecting on the rear fenders
- soft top plastic scratches easy, be careful
- water rolls off the soft top, could get into the car via open window or door and be an annoyance

Overall great car after 2k miles. Performs excellent in snow at 4A, leaving it 2H is fine most of the time anyway. Hopefully this review helps with your expectations if you have not received your bronco yet. View attachment 235127

I think it’s standard. It’s an option for your remote which is a bit more convenient at times, but, the app starts your car from anywhere in the world with internet. Plus, how hard is it to take out your phone as opposed to your keys? Your phone is probably with you more than your keys are. It’s a great feature.

I forgot the brand, but I got it from autozone.
