Norfolk Southern Train Derailment in Huntington, Missouri.
August 2nd, 2021.

Zoom-in. Looks like lots of Fords. I see some F-150s. And one looks like a Bronco...?

Ohh the irony if there are Broncos in that pile.... :cautious:

Don't look too bad don't it? First scratches for any of the vehicles there. If my Bronco were there and it'll crank, I'd take it. Will still drive won't it?

It's a damn truck pretty bois 👨‍🎤; scratches and dents give character. Nothing a rubber hammer can't fix.

Ugh, what’s with these train derailments lately? I mean, it’s likely no more than usually occurs, but I swear we hear about everyone now and it compounds the anxiety.

I hope everyone’s ok though - That’s priority #1.
Infrastructural maintanence isn't one of our country's strong suits

Freight rail lines are privately owned, operated, and maintained. Frankly you wish your roads were maintained as well as rail lines were.

EDIT: Earlier I said rail lines were publicly owned, meant privately. Changed for accuracy.

Just a rumor but I heard it was GM products on there. No Ford's were harmed in the event.

Corporate Greed and stock prices.

I work for Union Pacific and I am regularly building 18000 foot trains. 5 years ago anything over 8000 foot was a very big train. Bigger trains = less crews and locomotives. Unfortunately it is a much greater risk. Any train with autoracks has tons of slack in the train. Each car has cushioned draw bars with about 6 foot of slack total per car.

Had a delivery date of 8/2-8/6 scheduled but have been told by my dealer that because of a recent derailment there is no delivery date posted on my Bronco now.

I’m hoping for your sake another train that your Broncos’s on needs to pass and they haven’t cleaned it up yet.
