Interested in better fuel economy........There is a good article on the F-150 blog where both engines are offered. The one item that will not have impact from that article is max towing capacity. As the Bronco is limited due to suspension characteristics, you will not see a payload or towing increase with the motor.

That being said, the diesel would be a nice alternative at the mid-cycle refresh or for G7 Bronco.

Right, so I need to make up the MPGs somewhere...… I know the Bronco won't be ideal for this, but I'm hoping for low 20s with the 2.3 and manual. The Fusion Sport gets 26-27 with the Wench driving.....Better fuel econ?
Mate, you drive a Shelby! lol
Jeez, I didn't consider the engine/tranny's weight..... Jeep did it, so I figured it'd be a no brainer for the Bronco...Vehicle Weight. There seems to be some concern going above 6k gvwr. This has been widely discussed on other threads as the reason some options are not offered with certain trims like BL 4door with 2.7.
Yup, I'm seriously considering swapping out the 2.3L with the Ford Power Stroke Turbo Diesel V6. 32mpg. Bonus it uses the same 10-speed transmission. It will cost about $10k and screw my warranty but seeing that I'll drive this into the ground the tougher engine suites me. Stick it in my Base Sasquatch and smoke it.Interested in better fuel economy........
