I get where you're coming from. Not knowing much about the Xtreme Recon package, I would assume it would look a lot different than the sport or sahara it's parked next to. Looks like a regular jeep with better wheels/tires. Doesn't look like you get much for $4k. Sasquatch on badlands is $2500 and is a pretty similar upgrade. (35's, beadlocks, better axle ratio, small lift).
Actually you do get that same stuff with the Extreme Packaged. IIRC it gets you..

A 2" lift, tailgate reinforcement, larger wheels, and I thought even gearing.

Many folks have said that to do that aftermarket would be over the price of the package.

But I still would confirm..that should be a Mopar Lift. You should be able to look that up and know exactly what comes in it.

so you order a Bronco then in Aug you ordered a Jeep then changed your mind about the jeep and lost out on 1000 ,not really sure , maybe I missed something

I guess I haven't noticed- Do JLs use CV joints or U joints? I thought all Jeeps had exposed U joints
I've seen them with both. I think the ones optioned with the 4A transfer case get the CV joints.

I’m calling BS here. Those are not the Fox shocks the Rubicon or the Xtreme are suppose to have. Something is off.

Larger brakes would be nice on the Badlands and Sasquatch though.
JL Rubicons, XR or not, don't come with Fox shocks

Yeah, from what I read, it's the Full Time System (aka the 4a)....but I was hoping those were just rubber boots over the u joint just to make them look perty.

Don't lnow why they would go with a weaker setup when you option the Heavy Duty Tranfer case?

Maybe there's a lawsuit in there somewhere.

Comes with 1.5 additional height over standard Rubi..not sure if just different springs or maybe spacers, cast iron steering knuckles vs aluminum, 4.56 gearing, tail gate reinforcement, 35's, bead lock capable wheels, larger brakes, extra flare piece.
