Ford Bronco NOW AVAILABLE: Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Suspension of 2021+ 4DR Ford Bronco OME X ARB Bronco Logo

4WD suspension is not a simple affair and there’s no one-size-fits-all solution.

Unlike numerous aftermarket suspension systems, which are only available in a single configuration targeting lift height, Old Man Emu offers a range of tuned and matched integrated suspension systems to ensure the right suspension is available to suit how the vehicle is outfitted and the conditions it will encounter.

Some Broncos are loaded with hundreds of pounds of gear for overlanding, others with steel armor for rock crawling, and let’s not forget the lighter builds that want to preserve their gas mileage. Whatever you build consists of, a “One Size Fits All” approach shouldn’t be one of them.

Ford Bronco NOW AVAILABLE: Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Suspension of 2021+ 4DR Ford Bronco broncomoabsus

Old Man Emu suspension systems are designed to enhance ride quality, control, load-carrying capacity, and ride height. When building an off-road vehicle, it’s best to notate the heavy parts that you plan to add. Heavy components will slowly begin to compress your suspension which results in vehicle sag. To avoid ride discomfort and having to change components down the road, plan for future additions. We recommend that daily drivers consider only constant load while strictly off-road vehicles can consider both constant and gear load.

Whether you’re looking to build your suspension a la carte or choose from one of our six kit configurations, we have a system that is tailored to suit your Ford Bronco.

Light Load: Suitable for vehicles with a stock bumper.
Medium Load: Suitable for vehicles equipped with an aftermarket bumper.
Heavy Load: Suitable for vehicles equipped with an aftermarket bumper and winch.

Features
  • On and off-road drivability is achieved with a 2-inch lift that provides increased clearance and allows for the fitment of larger tires. 35-inch tires are optimal without the need to replace or modify costly components
  • A range of multi rate frequency tuned coil springs were extensively developed which offersexceptional comfort at ride height and optimized control in loaded scenarios
  • Front and rear struts were tuned to match the range of springs that were developed and provide exceptional control and comfort on all types of road surfaces
  • Each kit has 8 trim packers to allow for left to right and front to rear trimming and provide flexibility to account for load and load distribution scenarios
  • The panhard (track bar) relocation bracket corrects geometry at the lifted height and greatly improves vehicle dynamics
  • Designed for tougher off-road terrain and tested to exceed the OEM design

Design and Development:
In typical ARB-fashion, we shipped a brand-new Ford Bronco overseas to our headquarters in Melbourne, Australia. Old Man Emu’s AU and US engineers utilized CAD modeling for the Ford Bronco which enabled designs to be generated to optimize travel of the vehicle geometry without costly modifications. A 2-inch lift was achieved which enabled a 35-inch tire to be fitted without the need to replace or modify costly components. Extensive ride evaluations were conducted, and a range of Old Man Emu components have been designed, developed and tuned to further enhance the traditional Ford icon, the Ford Bronco.

Front and Rear Struts
Front and rear struts were developed to maximize travel of the vehicle's geometry without costly modifications. Front and rear struts were tuned to match the range of springs that were developed and provide exceptional control and comfort for the Bronco platform. Old Man Emu struts must be used in conjunction with the developed range of coil springs due to the design of the spring seat.

Coil Springs
A range of multi rate frequency tuned coil springs were extensively developed which offers exceptional comfort at ride height and optimized control in loaded scenarios. A full selection of coil options are available to ensure correct selection is achieved for the large range of variants offered including engine options. Old Man Emu Coil springs must be fitted with the Old Man Emu struts due to the design of the spring seat.

Front Sway Bar
A solid 33mm sway bar has been developed and is highly recommended for improved roll control in loaded scenarios. This component is included in the heavy kit configurations.

Panhard (Track Bar) Relocation Bracket
A rear panhard relocation bracket was developed to raise the rear roll center and center the axle under the frame. This relocation bracket corrects geometry at the lifted height and greatly improves vehicle dynamics. Trim Packers Front and rear trim packers have been developed to finely tune ride heights and cater to the wide range of factory models, options available and aftermarket offerings. Each package has 4 trim packers to allow for left to right and front to rear trimming and provide flexibility to account for load and load distribution scenarios.

It's Old Man Emu, so it's going to be the most comfortable and well-mannered suspension setup you've ever experienced.

But it's going to cost $5000 minimum.

They're stuff is great, but damn is it expensive.

When I finally wear out my Squatch shocks, you guys will definitely have your name on my suspension upgrade.

I was really impressed with your stuff on my previous vehicle!

Just noticed the pricing on their site:

Ford Bronco NOW AVAILABLE: Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Suspension of 2021+ 4DR Ford Bronco old man emu prici
those prices don't seem too bad...labor is where it's gonna kill you if you pay someone to do it. I've finding most shops are 125-150/hour.

@Ryan at ARB any more photos of that rig from the side? I’m trying to decide if I should go with red beadlocks or not. Love ARB and the fact you know it’s going to be a little more, but it won’t leave you stranded in the woods or on a beach somewhere.

I give up. I see light medium heavy, but what the heck’s the difference between kit 1 and 2??

edit: kit 1 is for the 4 cyl, and the 6 cyl gets kit 2.
