Tastefully done! Does the SRQ sub require trimming the rear panel?

Since I didn’t have the B&O system, I had the cubby hole where the the SRQ grill sits. All I had to do was cut the cubby out from behind where the plastic “rivets” attach it to the back of the panel. No other trimming to the panel.

Do you feel like the rockworkx red is a good enough match with the hot pepper red? Trying to decide between red and black

How did you manage to take off the shifter boot to replace it? The sides all come off easily but I get scared I guess at the critical part.

From recall so hopefully I’ve fully described it. The boot is glued to a plastic rectangular “ring” at the bottom where it meets the console. I put some painters tape on the plastic console and inserted a plastic pry tool between it and the boot but some have reported they just pushed their fingers into the boot and pulled up on the ring to release it. From there, pull the boot up over the shifter to expose a screw facing the front that allows you to pull the boot and gear shift knob off. You’ll see then how the top of the boot attaches. After peeling the bottom of the boot off the ring, I used upholstery glue and some plastic spring-loaded clamps to hold the boot to the ring until it dried.
