I don’t know if anyone has noticed but if you select the 2.7L option for the OBX you are only charged the $1,895 up charge for the engine (the auto transmission is included) ....UNTIL you select the “advanced 4x4 system” whereupon the B&P charges the entire $1,595 (the same price as the auto transmission on the other builds).

YET on the Black Diamond - a trim level lower - once the auto transmission is selected and the $1,595 up charge is applied you can then select the advanced 4x4 system for NO ADDITIONAL charge.

Ford really sucks at websites and pricing strategies.

The Advanced 4x4 is added into the Base MSRP on the BD, every time I try it, and not the options. I've stopped trying to decipher the B&P quirks and waiting on the mid January overhaul/update to see what they're up to with what options or packages are added to where. (base MSRP or options)

Yep, when you select 4A on BD, the base MSRP jumps from $36,050 to $36,845.

Then you are “getting” the A4x4 on the OBX for “free” .... as it only charges the $1,595 for the auto when selected.

Either way Ford is playing very sloppy and loose with their product.

Umm.....

The standalone locker rear is a $795 option on OBX. The 4A case is a $795 option on OBX, but also requires the rear locker. $795 + $795 = $1590.

This thread is tiresome......

This thread isn't tiresome . . . yet. It's about to become tiresome as people continue adding conjecture as if your post never existed . . . And in 3 . . . 2 . . 1 . .

Just realized this myself. So is the above the final verdict?

Something you're saying seems off to me.

On obx when add advanced it adds the cost of the locker and advanced 4x4. The total cost of both is about the same as the cost of the automatic.

On BD the locker is already included so adding advanced 4x4 adds only the cost of that which is $895(or $795 I forget.)
