So I was planning on ordering the OBX and then optioning squatch, leather, mod roof, high package, 2.7L and mod bumper. Came out to around 55k. But then I started looking at what the Wildtrak costs and the options it has standard. Comes with a lot of the same things. Other than the body color mirror caps, is there any bug difference between my OBX build and a stock Wildtrak?

Based on the optioning up you are planning, I think the only "significant" difference is the selectable 4x4 with OBX and Advanced Auto 4x4 with Wildtrak.

Oh, that Wildtrak hood graphic that no one has seen. :)

So I gain the auto 4wd with the wildtrak, right. So that’s a bonus.

I'm in the same boat. Must is the 2.7 and leather and I can deal with vinyl seats. I want to spend around $40-50k but don't want the 35"s. So I would go with 33" if Offered in the higher trim models. However if I go outer banks I will put on some king shocks and new wheels and 33" tires. i have been an Audi S and RS guy for a while and will keep 1 or 2 but I keep forget about the 5th spare tire when I price wheels and tires.

The auto 4 x 4 is a additional option for the obx. I have almost the exact build in mind but the build and price is needed.

Obx also has running boards if they stay on with squatch. Which if you like it’s a bonus if not remove and sell.

Wildtrak has the overhead aux switches with pre wiring installed...bumper accessories, side mirror mounted options, light bars. If that’s a future idea

Wildtrax gets you the extra GOAT mode too. Based off the survey prices, it doesn't matter what trim you start with from BB to OBX.....if you want auto, 2.7, modular HT, Sasquatch, and at least mid package you are around $51k plus or minus $1k. Wildtrak is a value packaged OBX, I don't think we can beat it going any other way. AND Ford knows that. Even going BL with Mid and auto/2.7 with out SAS puts you right at WT.

One thing I am keen on that I thought was a mistake but they are producing them from the factory that way is the Black Gloss painted mirrors instead of the body color match. It looks good.

I am struggling between WT and just an OBX with out the SAS and doing my own tires.

It looks to me like Ford took an OBX added a bunch of options and the stripe kit and then knocked off $2500. You just can't beat it if you was SAS added. Have to wait for B&P to know for sure.

I'm not planning on going squatch because I won't need it, but say I do jump to a Wildtrak...

What is the difference in the speed of tire wear and tire cost on a daily driver? Anyone know?

Edit: At most it will be sand and flat trail driving for me so I know the squatch is overkill, but it looks so damn nice! I guess I'm just trying to get all the cons to see if the killer looks would be worth the money in the long run.

Nice job putting this comparison together..... looks to me that the difference between your Badlands build and your Wildtrak build is :
-The Badlands has the Sway Bar Disconnect and Steel rear bumper (they come standard on the Badlands)
-The Wildtrak has the Modular Black Top. (it comes standard on the Wildtrak.)
Also there does seem to be some uncertainty as to whether a steel rear bumper comes with the optional modular steel front bumper when its ordered on the Wildtrak.
How much does adding the Lux Package add to the estimated price?

Have made some changes to the comparison sheet. The Lux Pkg would be, according to the survey results, $3500 on the OBX and WT and $5000 on the BL.
