Have a customer we installed the OE rock sliders on to mount the Mabett raptor knock off boards and customer is wanting them dropped another 4"-6". We showed him other options for boards and steps but he really wanted the raptor look. The rig is lifted with larger wheels and tires for looks and is on pavement only.
I have another set of brackets coming to see if we can modify them to do a drop but suspect it will look fugly with the rail and board sitting that far off the body. Another option is cut the clamps off the boards and come up with some sort of under mount board bracket that attaches to the OE brackets and we ditch the rock rail mod some factory brackets and call it a day.
Anyone know of anyone making universal mount (drop) brackets or have other suggestions?
