Anybody know where I can source the OE Braptor carbon steering wheel insert and shift knob? Or what the p/n are?

I sourced the carbon grab handles already.

Thanks!

Is your plan to reproduce the factory carbon trim option? Can that be done entirely? What is the factory option cost vs. DIY going to be?

Steering wheel isn’t going to be cheap and shift knob isn’t sold by itself and only available as a whole assembly with the shifter. You will then need to swap back the shift selector into the braptor knob. I did the knob swap last year and the steering wheel and handles this year.

Yes that’s my plan and yes it can be done. The factory option is $1725, but my car doesn’t have it so moot. Assuming I can buy just the steering wheel carbon insert cover and not need the entire steering wheel (you can buy just the cover/insert on other Bronco models), then it should cost about the same, or under $2,000. I already know the cost of the carbon grab handles ($775). The entire steering wheel with carbon cover is $1427, but again hoping I can just buy the insert. Yes, there are aftermarket “stick on” pieces, but no thank you. No info yet on the shift knob but guessing around $350. Problem is there’s no current complete online parts catalog for 2022/2023 vehicles that I can find. Only for 2021 and earlier, but Raptor didn’t exist until 2022. Will see how helpful the dealer parts dept will be.

Will provide an update when I have one.

Looks great. Did you do the install yourself?

What was the cost of the shifter assembly and knob?

And I assume you verified you can’t buy just the carbon steering wheel cover? But your car is not a Raptor correct?

On a Wildtrak, for example, it looks like you can buy just the shifter boot/knob and the cover for steering wheel separately.

Summertime will be here soon. Many Raptors with the carbon option will be topless. You could wait till they start showing up on the “secondary” market. 😝

Installed it all by myself the steering wheel is a direct swap but the electronics are not. My bronco is a base model. You cannot buy the cover plate for the wheel by itself I have verified on here with @flip and the dealer. This is a $1600 dollar wheel with no electronics. Also unless you have a braptor the wheel trims don’t swap over for obvious reasons

Shift knob on the braptor cannot be purchased alone as I obviously purchased it to do the swap. I believe it was about $300ish dollars if I remember right.

I was able to purchase the entire carbon interior (wheel, grab handles and shift knob) for $2477, or roughy $700 more than the cost of the factory option. However, you end up with an extra steering wheel, shift knob and stock grab handles that you can sell and net out at a cost much lower than the factory option. Given what I know now, the factory carbon option is NOT a good buy IMO if you order it with the car.

I assume the steering, R, suspension and exhaust button does not work?
