Ah... so this topic is more complicated than it should be in my opinion. But anyway...

Most people I've seen buy either the Thule crossbars or Yakima crossbars. Once you have those crossbars, you can buy the appropriate Thule/Yakima adapters to mount whatever you need to mount. Yakima calls their system "LockNLoad", and I think Thule calls theirs "Caprock". Once you have their appropriate adapters installed for the system, you can mount basically anything you want.

Personally... I looked at it, decided I didn't want to deal with all of this adapter nonsense, sold my OEM roof rack, and promptly bought a Trailrax. (y)

Yeah, the fact that OEM roof rack mounts haven't been 3d printed and mass produced is beyond me... There are so many out there.

I've seen great one-offs, but come on... Where is China when you need them? They have a bunch of OEM rack copies... Make some mounts!
