I was at the LV one last November. During check-in, they told a few people about their credit (I wasn't one). Also agree if you are spending a large credit, do it in the morning - they ran out of some sizes by lunchtime. Lastly, don't underestimate how much of a difference driving a 4-door is compared to 2-door if you own one. I asked very early after noting that only 1 of 7 in each group was a 2-door, also mentioning my other vehicles are a '19 Miata and '15 BMW M235i (which is actually longer than my 2-door Wildtrak).

Check with your own insurance carrier. You might be covered already.
Not for off rpacing in a borrowed car.
This question isn't so much to initiate commentary on the merits of insurance itself... we'll save that one for another day when I'm gone... but more for those who have already been to an Off-Roadeo event and have a sense of what it is you can actually do to their vehicles. I'm attending a Tennessee date in about a month. It doesn't seem like they'd be designing trails with the intention of damaging their own vehicles but... that's why I'm asking. Thanks ahead of time.
You can be cheap or pay the 50k if you roll their bronce. It has happened.

Don't get it. Save the $75 and spend it on a nice dinner to celebrate completing the Off-Roadeo, as the one that is included in the package is certainly not the best.

Per my agent, my policy covers me in any vehicle.
but in any situation?

I can almost guarantee not.

No racing, for example--on road or on track.

Read your policy. That is the SOLE instrument that can tell you anything about the policy. Anything your agent says is immaterial. When it comes to policy declaration vs what the agent said, guess what.

Per the site:

When finalizing your reservation, you may also select an optional $75 vehicle damage waiver that will limit your financial responsibility to $3,500 if any vehicle damage is incurred during the event.

So if you roll/total the Bronco with insurance, you are only out $75 + $3,500.

Without it, and without any other insurance, you are out $50k+

I've already talked to my agent, who went over my policy, since I plan to attend an Off Roadeo in January. I'm covered.

Ah, after re-reading it, you're right.

This could be worth it to a lot of people then.

It only covers up to $3500. If you roll their Bronco, you're still up shit creek.
Read your policy.

again, what your agent says may or may not apply. Only what the policy says applies.

I'm stunned that people put such blind faith in others in such an expensive contractual situation.

Like what the car salesman says, for example.

If there's a contract, read it. One thing I can guarantee: the contract says that it is the only thing binding the insurance company. Nothing an agent says, or your brother in law says, counts.

I've read it. We both read it, in his office.

I'M

FUCKING

COVERED.

JFC.

I'm stunned when some condescending internet twerp thinks he knows my policy, which I've had for nearly 30 years, better than I and my agent do.

I'm stunned when some rando on a forum responds to "read your policy" with nothing more than "my agent says I'm good" and then attacks someone who points out that only the written policy counts.

You could have said that you did read the policy. You didn't, even when I prompted the concept. All you said was "per my agent..." and then "I've already talked to my agent" with zero mention of your having actually read it.

What an agent says is meaningless.

Must be one outstanding policy cause I have never seen one that blanket covers every car in every situation.

Dude needs to drop his insurance agent so I can get on the same plan.

yeah. There's no question in my mind, no "normal use" policy covers off road use. That would be an addendum or a separate policy.

Which he may have, but manages not to communicate.

You are not insuring the vehicle.
You are insuring yourself against having to tell your spouse you bought a $50,000 shirt and hat.

And you have probably pissed away $75 on more stupid things without even blinking an eye. Ask your spouse, she will be glad to point them out to you.
