Mine will be my daily but that said I will go offroad as well. Already putting together a list of trails to hit while in CO in Sept.

Going to Big Bend the day I get it. I'll be easier on the drivetrain for sure, as it's new.
Also in that trip back home I plan on BL natl. park, Yellowstone, Yosemite.
Once back home there will be trips to Uwharrie and Tellico, and numerous on-beach driving on the OBX.
So definitely some use, but with as much care as can be had.
IT is still new and I'd like to keep it looking that was as long as possible.

Will you 4 wheel your new Bronco like your older rig or wait a little while before tackling the Rubicon or Moab?
I'm thinking if I get some serious road rash I'll tear up and hope I have enough money in bank.
I'll baby it till it gets f'd up by accident. Ie- parking lot dings, deer strike, rust. When it looks like a $2k vehicle, I'll drive it like a $2k vehicle

You clearly haven't been to Flat Nasty or to SMORR in Missouri. You don't have to travel 3+ states to get to fun offroad areas. There are some places here in southern MO that can give the Rubicon and MOAB a run for their money.

That is still 5-7 hours away. We went to Attica last year and that was 8 hours. Going back there again this year actually (kind of a club event, I am like the only guy in the midwest)

A lot shorter than Southington the year before, that was like 13.

Going to try to double dip next year and see if they can do it in Texas so we can do the off roadeo, play tourist and then catch the trail ride with the Bronco.

Lol well we'd love to have some of our northern neighbors down here to visit. Hopefully COVID will cause our off-road enthusiast groups to grow, just not too much so that the waits on trails aren't horrible.

New 2000 Lightning under 100 miles, to the drag strip.
New 2003 Lightning built motor, trans, big brakes, and to the road course at under 1000 miles.
New 2011 Raptor hit the desert at about 1000 miles.
New 2013 FJ Cruiser under 20 miles, new suspension, tires, bumpers, and hit the trails.
New 2018 Raptor right to the desert.

Bottom line, use your toys.

I knew an old farmer that would buy a new truck every few years. He would take a piece of barbed wire and run it down the side the first day he got it. He reasoning was he made the first scratch so no one else would be worried about it.
Get it out and use it!

I would like to do more but when it is a freaking voyage to get anywhere it is hard to.

It will be a rural dd so it will be no stranger to mud and snow though.

Drive it like you stole it, burn rubber, sling mud, jump ditches, it will have marine vinyl seats so if the passengers pee drive harder!

I am planning on taking mine to the OHV trails at Uwharrie National Forest, but I am sticking to the easy and moderate trails. No Daniel, Dutch John, or Rocky Mountain Loop trails for me. At least not this year. ;)

IMHO, there is no point in me buying a Bronco, if I am not going to offroad it.
I can buy or lease a much cheaper pavement only vehicle
