yeah, I don't quite get that either. But for me, the 2dr is strictly a toy. all I drive are toys, but a toy none the less. I guess I can see it on the 4dr, it would be a downgrade in towing compared to our 4runner for example, I wouldn't mind being able to tow the trailer and two bikes, which the 4runner does easily enough, thats about 3800 lbs (2k trailer, 2 heavy cruisers in the 900lb range) plus gear.
I would be willing to bet when they announce those new numbers under the towing they will be closer...

so still no weight limit ? what is your definition of morbidly obese?
Two average male adults is probably 400-450? The F-150 tailgate holds ~600lbs, so 400-450 doesn't sound unreasonable

This is actually the first time I have seen towing numbers. I haven't seen any plans for additional towing capacity. It isn't really what the Bronco was designed for. It matches the Wrangler's max towing, which I think was the goal. But I agree that pushing it to maybe 5000 lbs. would have been helpful for some people.
Would have been huge to me.... I was so hoping for a 5k+ towing capacity. Not going to be a dealbreaker for me though... just scratching things off my shoulda/coulda list :D

I have the 2.3L in my 2019 Ranger. I run a 93 octane tune and it runs like a rapped ape. Some guys are getting 280-290 hp and 387 torque at the wheel with tune only. I am adding a high flow cat downpipe and 3" cat back exhaust. I imaging it will be 300+ hp at the wheel and 400 torque maybe. I was not a fan of the 2.3L until I got this truck. It was sufficient before the tune, now it will run!!!
Not my dyno graph but one from the Ranger forum that is a trusted poster.

I'm still confused on this one. Basically every model has a max towing capacity of 3500 lbs. but, the "Optional Towing Package" doesn't hit until Big Bend (Model just above base). When you scroll further down it lists towing per engine and doors:

Calling for a Class II Tow Package (which class II max's out @ 3500 lbs.)

So if it's already at 3500 lbs. on the Base model without the Tow Package (not available) that makes no sense. So I'm still holding out for better tow ability, maybe the package has a class III? I have no idea, not even certain on all the factors that go into towing.. I just know 3500 is bare minimum for me.

I still don't know what to reserve....
You and me both. I'm looking to stay under $40k. At same time I want to tow more than 3500 lbs. and hell, why not run the 35's? And of course drop the V6 in there. I like Big Bend over Base, but that'll push past $40k easily. So I have no idea. Need more specs and pricing info!

I know - I need info on option pricing. And need to know which trim I can get the white top on lol. For example, Wildtrak comes with the black top - does that mean it's not available with the white top?

OMG! I've been lurking this forum for years on and off and have appreciated a lot of you... So thanks. Only thing I'm disappointed with is the manual not being available on the 2.7 because that is my 2nd favorite Ford engine after the 5.2. I can live with the 10 spd though and will be buying a Black Diamond 2 door with the Sasquatch package and color is TBD because I have to let the wife decide one thing about this vehicle.
This is exactly what Ford is trying to do...

"I can live with the auto." Then when the uptake on the manual is low, then can KILL it completely.

Man, If I could get a Base 4 Door, V6, 35's and tow more than 3500 lbs. in Race Red w/ White Hard Top for under $40k I'd be reserving today. Even as I type all that I see what a pipe dream that is.

I absolutely love it. I just wish I could be happy with a lower trim but I know I need at least the black diamond with options.

I am super disappointed in the tow rating and hope there is a yet-to-be-seen tow package that ups that number. I really want a rock buggy and to tow it with my Bronco, but just the trailer alone is going to be 2k pounds. Both 2 and 4 door having the same tow rating doesn’t really make sense to me, idk though. Will just have to wait and see. I might just have to buy a beater truck to tow with.

I think 2 door big bend with the 2.7L for me. I was thinking leather and the 12 inch screen but you wont be able to touch one for under 50k and thats more than i want to spend. Crazy even on the wild trak leather isnt even standard, all add on packages. Going the performance route over the frills route will be the way to go on a bronco for me and thats cool, emergency braking and and all these nannies arent for me.
