Probably since it is the most popular configuration in a truck these days and the easiest to configure with this platform (escape). If they see demand for another configuration they will build it.Only a crew can option?

Interesting. Plug-in hybrid and full electric would be tempting for some. I mean, they're not going to interfere with the Lightning's rollout so it may be a while.
Agreed. I have driven a Falcon UTE with the supercharged 5.0 and manual and it was such a fun car. Would love to see Ford reinstate the Falcon line here in the USGive me a stick-shift, and I might consider it for a town car. But Ford won't do that. So. No real interest.
I wish they would bring back the Ranchero on the Mustang platform. RWD, 5.0, 6MT. That would be a blast.
I actually agree.looks pretty good. hope it does well. reminds me of the sport trac. lets hope it does much better.
