That's a very helpful diagram. I also want more than this. Judging by many of our other cars, the area under the grill is going to be a rock magnet. I'll also likely have the frame around the windscreen done. I.e. basically all the forward facing surfaces plus a bit of the hood.

It's just designed to cover the high impact areas, not the whole truck, kind of like an invisible bug deflector that doesn't deflect.

Definitely not going to miss access to that item. Not a fan of the limited coverage. Hoping I can have it done better for the same price.

Bingo. It will block that vast majority of impact. What is going to eat it, is the windshield. Make sure your insurance company replaces those pretty cheap :)

Can't be worse than our Disco II was. I put 4 windshields in that thing the last one broke 2 days later. Talk about a rock magnet. I think if you looked at the windshield in that thing funny it would split, not just chip or crack. Thank goodness for cash for clunkers as I wanted to push that pos off a cliff but the wife absolutely loved that lemon.

Also if anyone gets that pretty black painted grill like the WT and FE, just watch what rocks are about to do to that poor thing. My F350 looks like the grill was sand blasted. Flat surface, meet rocks.

Shouldn't the new paint breathe for a period of time before you cover it up? Or is that a fallacy?

My dealer was unsure about this back when I ordered, but he was solidly in the, "I have a dude for this down the road you should go to instead," camp for tint/film/paint protection.
