I'm in a front license plate state, but am telling my dealership to not install the front plate bracket. I'll wait for an aftermarket solution. It amazes me that with 31 states requiring a front plate, this shitty solution was the winner.

that doesn't sound true. How can they charge you a fine for not displaying something you were never issued?Here are all the states that don't require a front license plate. You can still get a ticket when driving in states that does though. I still think it's worth the risk

It's what I found out when I researched it.
It's not. You'll only get pulled in your own state if 2 are required and you don't both. And most of the time when they do pull you, it's just a 'reason' to pull you over.

There are two factory mounting types, both locate it in the same place… in the middle just above the bumper.
On the HD Modular bumper the plate is completely above it, on the plastic bumper there is a slight overlap.
