Distribution of the information should not be difficult. IT systems ingest data all of the time.Really, Ford Performance "broadcasts" in some way every install of Tuners to the entire dealer network? Seems odd, unnecessary and somewhat difficult to implement. What benefit or need does this server for both FMC and dealers?
Not a Ford employee or insider but a few things come to mind as to why.
1. Warranty billing goes to FP instead of Ford.
2. Denial of service past 3/36.
3. If problems arise on tuned vehicles the dealer service departments can be notified and made aware so they don't chase rabbits down the wrong hole.
