Good luck getting the claimed MPG with a turbo. What you "can" get and what you "will" get are not the same thing. But it will be fun talking to people at the gas station.

Good timing to introduce those numbers when people are panicking here on the east coast. We actually have stations out of gas at the moment.

Considering there is nothing showing 2-door vs 4-door differences and obvious mistakes (BL listed twice, for example), I'm going to go with "official" vs official.

I'll wait for a window sticker or info on the DOT website. I'm sure these are close, but who knows - maybe these are the 2-door and it's going to be extra sad for the 4 door.

These numbers come out just as we’re dealing with the hacked Colonial pipeline thing? They couldn’t have released MPG data on free ice cream day to cushion the blow?
MPG is gonna be 0

Im sure those are not right
I think, hope, you're right. My '19 4 door Sahara with the 3.6 is rated 17/23. It will do 25 on the highway with out a head wind, and will get the 23 with the wind. And, that's cruising at 70 mph. My Ranger with the 2.3L and 3.73's rated at 26 highway will on average get 26. There's not much room for improvement in the mpgs like the Jeep. So much for the "Eco" part of the EcoBoost. I wasn't expecting at a gas sipper, but 20 mpgs hwy with the 2.7L/Auto in the Outer Banks sux, and the 2.3L ain't much better. IMHO.

I was shot down repeatedly when Ford revealed the engine options for stating just this.
An off-road vehicle is exactly where you want a naturally aspirated engine, you want to be able to have steep gearing and predictable linear power curves, all of which are better suited to naturally aspirated options, like wise naturally aspirated engines with decent displacement are going to be more efficient when they’re not idling around.
The NA 3.3L and 5.0L were the better engine options imo, now I’ll quietly await my execution for that blasphemous statement.

Oh that’s still on the 6 speed as well.
Yep... and that's combined. I drive 50 miles each way to work everyday and change elevation both ways by 2600' (down in the morning - back up at night) I was expecting around 17-18 on the Bronco.

The 10 speed has like 3 overdrive gears. It shouldn't have been that hard.
Agreed, I don't get the highway mileage with Sas at all with all the overdrives. I was hoping for 17 average so thats fine but closer to 20 on the highway would have been nice. Definitely more gas station stops on long trips with the tiny tank. BUT at least its not Jeep 392 numbers, yeesh.

What's funny is the 5.0L V8 probably would have better gas mileage than the 2.7L Ecoboost. I'm good with the 17 MPG in my First Edition.

I have a hard time believing a 2.3 manual BL gets the same average as a 2.7 squatch. I'm now confident I can hit 20 on most road trips. At any rate, these numbers are acceptable for a heavy brick.
