2 door, the 4 door gets a 20 Gal tank.
400 miles on the highway on a good day. (20gal Ɨ 20mpg = 400). F150 with same engine = 23gal x 24mpg = 552 miles range.

Of course, on the interstate at 79mph I'm getting 20 mpg now. What will a geared-down Bronco be at 75mph

Most of this falls in with my expectations but I still find it hard to believe that my 2dr 2.3 Black Diamond gets only 1 mpg better than a 4dr 2.7 35ā€ tire Wildtrak.
Yeah this is the first time Iā€™ve felt like my switch from BB to BD was a bad move. Iā€™ll get over it but Iā€™m scratching my head a bit.

Okay, Iā€™m surprised as well for the dismal 2.3 numbers on my Badlands. Yes, itā€™s a heavy brick. But we all really should have seen this coming - Ford has been featuring those Jerry cans foreverā€¦šŸ˜Ž

Said this on BN and I'll say it here. Sorry I'm not buying these numbers. There is no way the 2.7 should be that far off from a 2.7 F-150. I averaged 20/25 or so with mine. And I had the 6 speed transmission. And how does the 2.3 Sasquatch do better than the 2.7 Sasquatch. Smaller engine pushing close to the same weight minus the difference in engine weight.

I'll wait to see real world results.

Dunno why anyone expected better MPG. Itā€™s a heavy rectangular box on large wheels. Iā€™m not even sure why anyone would own this as a commute car. Personally MPG was not even on my consideration list when evaluating the Bronco. Fun factor is #1!

Are you really buying it for the gas mileage? Don't care when the little needle get near the big E, I will fill it up and keep enjoying the ride. Go Big or stay on the porch!

Is 23 gallons the standard F150 tank size? I'm spoiled with 36 gallons. 650+ miles on a tank.

Wow, I expected manual to have much better MPG than Auto...why's that? In all my VW over the years...the manual always got like 8-10 more MPG.
I plan on beating the numbers, I always can in a manual. If you drive in the sweet spots it's not hard.

Better then the 4x4 I drive now.
There have been a few off roading days where I stopped for gas 3 times in one day.
I think I was getting 12 mpg.

I'm not disappointed in 17mpg. In fact thats pretty good on the surface.

However, I'm disappointed in 17 mpg with an eco-boost engine that is notorious for under-delivering in real world mpg and that will be spoiled up all the time which is not great for longevity. Combined that with a vehicle that has as low as a 16.9gallon tank and that has a payload of around 1000 pounds, a roof rack with an anemic load rating and a tiny cargo area to put a gas can in.

I bet a SAS averages 15mpg real world and wouldn't be surprised for it to be closer to 12mpg with a full load. Now add the mountains or a headwind and you could easily have some scenarios were your range is under 200 miles.

Now why cant we at least have the simplicity and reliability of a V8?

I didn't say it proved any point and generally agree, but it is not always the case. When I got my Mazda some of my friends (and the Toyota salesman) said it was really a Ford and would fall apart. Didn't happen, in fact its the o

wow. Ecobust. I have looked at a 4X4 Ranger. 4X4 F150. And this doesnā€™t make sense. I knew the 35 inch mud tires were going to hurt my mileage. A base 2.3 which 3.73 gears and smaller tires should get better than this. there is no way a ice/gas engine can get the same mileage around town and on the hwy. If you are stopping and going you will get worse mileage than the hwy. Something is bad wrong about this chart. I did talk to the guys at 5 star tuning. They said the 2.3 will pickup 75hp/75tq. 2.7 100/100 with 93 octane and pickup over a mile per gallon on rangers and F150. Iā€™m guessing with the extra power in culmination of the big tires/friction/gears broncos may pickup more mileage than the ranger and F150. Letā€™s hope
