I like it. We'll see if the styling details hold in the production model. Might consider jumping in for the reservation.

But I doubt I move on from the Bronco. Took too long for this one to come back around. I've been around them since 1975, so it's kind of in the blood by now.

Not bad looking but I've yet to understand why these companies keep making EVs designed to take you to places as far away as possible from a charger.

QC issues in modern times aren't nearly as bad as they where 40 years ago. Quality metrics between nearly every make is extremely small and most of the issues are made up by people or blown out of proportion.
Ford execs, impressed by Chinese quality, think about that for a minute!

The CEO of Ford says he's been driving a Xiaomi EV for the past 6 months and doesn't want to give it up
"We flew one from Shanghai to Chicago, and I've been driving it for six months now, and I don't want to give it up," Farley continued.

The report said the pair was impressed by the quality of the Chinese-made EVs.

"Jim, this is nothing like before," Lawler told Farley, according to the Journal. "These guys are ahead of us."
When even the Chinese are ahead of Ford, it's okay to let your eye wander to other brands.

YOOOOOO GR Corolla bro
Had it for a year and it was a blast, but solid it a few months ago for a cayman S. Didn’t really need two practically cars lol.
So its a rebadged Rivian, got it🤣
Not even close, they’re likely going to use Rivian’s software and not much else. This is mechanical lockers vs quad motor, solid rear axle vs IRS, BoF vs skateboard platform, list goes on.

The interior looks great, the front ends look no good to me and nothing reminiscent of the Scout. It has one styling feature of a Scout 2 so poor job with doing a retro revival like Ford did.
I grew up with a Scout not a Scout 2 as a kid and it’s adventures helped form my love of the 4x4. I know we will know more about the actual drivetrain later and I’m interested to see what they end up at actual production.
This unveil does not look like Bronco competition as the original Scout was. this looks like rivian and, hummer competition.

All the people who bought a Bronco that really wanted a fixed roof Lux suv can now move over to Scout and stop complaining about what the Bronco was not built to be.

If Ford had done this to the Bronco there would be a whole lot less Bronco sales and Jeep would have been much happier.

I see this as a Rivian reboot not a Scout reboot.
Has the potential to be something cool.

Nobody mentioned 92" wide!?!?! What??? Super Duty is the skinny kid. Haha

How is that supposed to off road let alone fit in a parking space?
Didn't realize these were that big from the reveal but yep, the Traveler is Expedition big! Wow!

That front trunk fold down tailgate on the traveler looks useful, didn’t really follow the Rivian release so not sure how revolutionary a feature it is though

I hope not.

All vehicles on the road are basically duct-taped together components from various suppliers. The gen2 Rivians simplified everything with a zonal communication hubs. VW invested in Rivian and probably will use this tech.

How much will body repairs be? Bronco has bolt on sheet metal. Rivians need to have half the vehicle replaced to fix a crushed rear fender.

Surprised he did that but glad he did—hopefully he’ll wake some people up before it’s too late. Chinese companies have around 70% market share for EVs right now so it would be foolish for American & European manufacturers not to try to understand why. Starting on the back foot (especially when it comes to battery tech), so it’ll take some catching up.

Anyway, very curious how this will all play out. This seems like the first true attempt at an off-road EV.

I have a feeling a lot of people are setting themselves up for some major sticker shock. If the base variant of this vehicle is $60,000—well… we’re already at today’s Wildtrak prices as a starting point. Makes you wonder what the price will be once you start adding options people want like the range extender, lockers, etc.
