no question it's styled nicely but at the end of the day, it's another overpriced EV toy. it's not alone in this- almost every car now is overpriced- wranglers going for 60, 70, 80k or more, grand wagoneers on lots leftover from 2023 for 120k that no one is buying- maybe it's just impossible to make something cheaper with the inflation over the last few years but i think if a car maker made something a bit more affordable that was what people actually wanted, they would sell like hot cakes- like the wranglers used to. people don't really want EV's with the exception of teslas and people don't really want vehicles they're going to be upside down on.

additionally, they're saying in the 50k range "with incentives"- how much you want to bet if you don't qualify for the federal and state rebates and you start optioning these things they are going to be 70-80k real quick- at that point you can get a grenadier or any number of things. not interested.
These with options are going to be way over 100k

agreed- problem is they then put themselves competing with range rovers, raptors, ineos, etc. all of which i'd prefer. couldn't be happier with my 45k bronco with removable top and doors- could get two of them for the price of one of these heavily optioned. this thing is going to flop just like all the other EV's

I'm a fan of how the fenders and hood are a better approximation to the vintage Scout than Ford did with the plastic Bronco grill. The interior shown on the SUV version looks fantastic. The size?? Good gawd almighty, way too big. I don't see these as competition with a Bronco, but instead they compete against Range Rover's and Escalades. I'm holding my deposit money for the upcoming VW Bus EV that doesn't pretend it's anything other than an electric minivan for daily commuting.

If nothing else, the new Scout should appeal to Bronco folks who obsess over rear HVAC vents. ;)

I'm into this one. Lots of tactile buttons and accessories. It's a good blend of analog and digital which most EVs lack.

It seems they listened to complaints from people reluctant to switch from ICE to EV. There's a lot to like.

Put my deposits down (decide suv vs truck later if I stick with it).

I'll say this, that is cool that they are giving the bench seat option. That's some nostalgia/throw back that I would just never even think about. Now give us some of those front swing out wing windows and we'll be in business.

Ok, the White Claw has worn off. I still like it, and put a reservation in for the truck with the range extender. I'll be interested in seeing what the actual price is in a couple of years when they're being produced. I'm not a Scout enthusiast by any means and have driven Fords my entire life (with the exception of the Jeep I bought my wife). That said, I really like the looks of the truck compared to my F150. If the pick up with the range extender is +$80K, I don't think it'll be in my driveway.

Although I love he Scout! I think Alpha (if they make it) also a 2027ish roll out. As they are building a factory in MI. Last I followed. Been a minute. I reserved a traveler myself..but I also got a Rex and Jax on reserve.

All that and no 2dr variant? Way to honor the past by ignoring it...

Nobody mentioned 92" wide!?!?! What??? Super Duty is the skinny kid. Haha

How is that supposed to off road let alone fit in a parking space?
Also almost 18" longer than a Bronco 4-door. Big Scout won't even fit in my garage........

no need for a reservation since I won’t touch one till they’ve been out for a couple years and they prove to be their worth . that Terra truck does look like a candidate to replace my bronco and f150 . bench seat with 5.5 bed is great and replaces what I have in the f150, lockers , open roof , 33-35 ‘s , roll down rear window replaced what I like most in bronco , looks fantastic , with range extender that’ll haul my aluminum boat in box to any lakes I like to hit and back no problem and the power , oh yeah , giddy up , I have 5 years to cover whatever the price may be , geez 3 forums to follow now till then for info
