The question is the time stamp for all reservations or just at the dealer your reservation is placed at? If it's just at the dealer you placed it is where it could get tricky. You may have moved from a favorable place in line to a not so favorable spot.
We are always looking at it the wrong way. Ford has said your timestamp is your timestamp no matter if you move...but your res is one timestamp at one dealer...when it moves, that changes things. There is NOT one gigantic single file line of customers waiting for broncos...there are many lines at all the dealers across the country. The realities of delivering vehicles on a mass produced scale mean that we aren't single file...batches are built and delivered in the most economical way possible. It would be ludicrous to build each unit in reservation order and deliver it one by one...however, Ford does appear committed to making deliveries in "close as possible order" so when you switch, you move to a different line...even if you get your "place" in that new line.

We have no idea how many reservations they are holding. If it's in the thousands, Ford could view that as upsetting the balance of allocations and had to move to even things out.

not buying it....

That's exactly what I'm thinking. So if you move to the wrong dealer, it could take longer to get your Bronco.

There has been a massive amount of fear, uncertainty and doubt caused by Ford's change to the rules of Bronco delivers to Bronco Reservation holders. We have gone from first come, first served, where people would receive their Bronco in roughly the order they were reserved, to Ford's version of the "Hunger Games".

You only have to read pages 52, 53 and 54 of this thread to see the amount of confusion and misinformation the Ford dealer memo, shown in post #1, has created amongst Ford Dealers, Ford Salespeople and Bronco Customers.

With these new rules you have created battles between Ford Dealers, Ford Salespeople and Bronco Customers that is not healthy for Ford's business and stock price, some people are starting to cancel reservations due to this uncertainty. Can you please work towards some clarifying communication aimed at both the dealers and customers, the customers that are needed to return Ford to profitability, and let us know with some amount of certainty the plans and rules for our Bronco delivers. In the end, Ford will benefit from increased profitability by these steps to show us the Ford Customer is still #1.

uncertainty and doubt
On July 13 there was one information source, one web site to register with, and one line to form for Bronco.

Today there are 3,000 dealers kibbitzing, 3,000 places to order, and 3,000 lines to form for Bronco.

And reservation holders don't have sufficient info to make informed decisions on which line to get in.

Here's an example of why allocations matter. Similar situation, though yes a little different. Dealership A has 3 gt500 actual customer order units submitted prior to allocations being announced. Dealer B has 0 gt500 customer orders in. Not just retail orders, but actual sold customer orders.

Unfortunately Ford, based on market, only allocates dealership A 1, and dealership B 3, despite dealership A having 3 sold order units, and dealer B having 0. This is actively going on. Yes, its a gt500, but were also talking sold units. Just to give a little insight
So it may be possible for a dealer to have more Bronco allocations that reservations? If that is possible and Ford does provide initial allocations Prior to order book opening, those extra allocations are gold.

If
That's what happens when we chose to see how the sausage is made. If we were not aware of this site and just went by the few official Ford releases- it all looks good. Mike Levine' tweets "are his own". For example, his tweets about the B & P didn't pan out- but it's not official. Maybe he did it in good faith but he has no obligation to keep this site updated. Are the waters muddy-yes but that is to be expected in a competitive market. As for the allocation process, is it possbile this was know prior to July 13th and we simply found out about it after the formula was finalized and leaked ?

No offense, its not an official account but a mixed bag with personal tweets. In his defense, his own words " Views are my own"
