Curious if anyone has taken their soft top Bronco off-road yet with the top completely folded down, not just flipped back?
I ask because, I rode in the backseat of one yesterday on trails at the bronco super celebration in Buena Vista, CO and that top even before hitting the trails on a dirt road, was making all kinds of noise. When we hit the trails, it was beyond annoying. Looks like they even had zip ties around the brackets/hinges but that didnt help the clanking of the metal components.

Off roaded our BL softie last weekend with the top down the entire time. Didn't notice any noise or clanking from the back. Backseat kiddos never said anything either. The couple that was with us did mention that the stowed top was moving around quite a bit and offered up some zip ties. That's when I remembered the included Velcro strap and used them to cinch the top down. After that they said there was no bouncing or movement from the top.

The top does lock in place when all the way back and stowed. I wonder if the one you rode in wasn't locked in or if the mechanism was broken?

Yeah not sure about the locking piece as this was the first one I had seen in-person with the oem top completely folded down.

Those Velcro straps you mentioned - were these included specifically for this purpose (to secure the soft top) or were they for another purpose?

They come in the tool kit for cinching the top down when it is folded back once or folded all the way back.

I have had the top down numerous times and only felt the need to use them while off roading.

The included straps are exactly for strapping to back when off-roading. Went to the NH Off-Roadeo yesterday. No high speed stuff, but we were rock crawling with our tops down and top rattle was not noticeable.

We rode in a soft top BB and the noise on road was definitely noticeable but didn't catch it once we got to the trail
