This has been my tried and true method with a ‘23 2.3l, but it’s likely applicable to all years and the 2.7 as well:

1. Decide you want an oil change

2. Book an appointment with your dealer

3. Bring in Bronco, wait around an hour

4. Drive away

5. Post here you had an oil change from the dealer that saved you time and hassle and is recorded on your CarFax.

6. Get grief from all the old guys on the forum

If you follow steps 1-5 religiously, you will certainly get step 6.

Happy trails!

The problem i had when i got mine done at the dealer is that they didn't want to do anything else. I wanted to order the ford performance tune, get diff oils replaced, look into some rattles and issues...nope. after they brought my car up and i was literally paying the guy, and i was begging to find out the cost, they offered me the tune for 3 hrs of time.

I’m an old guy that’s why I started taking my vehicles to dealer for service. Also like you said everything is recorded at dealer now CYA in case warranty problems ever arise. Too much time and hassle anymore, way more convenient to get it done at dealer.

they didn't want to do anything else
Did you BOOK those when you made the appointment ? Or did you try to add them when you showed up ?

1.) Make appointment.
2.) Go to appointment.
3.) Dealer says no you don't have an appointment.
4.) Prove that you made an appointment.
5.) Dealer is very surprised that you have an appointment.
6.) Dealer needs until the end of the day and you should come back in several hours.
7.)Dealer calls and says they won't have it ready until tomorrow afternoon.
8.)Call them at 3pm the next day because you haven't heard anything.
9.)Get informed that they couldn't get to it and so it will need another day. Tomorrow is Sunday and they don't work so that means Monday.
10.) Demand a loaner vehicle so you can do things on Sunday and drive to work Monday morning.
11.)Finally get the keys to a base model f150 that they act like is the holy grail.
12.)Listen to voicemail about needing the f150 back on Monday at noon.
13.)Call and tell them to finish the fucking oil change and they can have thier dog shit f150 back.
14.)Pick up your car after work. It may or may not have the same oil in it.

Like clockwork every time.

I went in to dealer to make an appointment for service and recall..
Told me they were week or so out and then referred me to their mobile service...came to my house next day!
Changed oil..rotated tires ..did the wiper recall ..asked me if I wanted the stupid seat belt clips installed..I said no..used ford points to pay..easy peasy...

an oil change from the dealer that saved you time
There are a lot of valid reasons to have someone else change your oil but this is not one of them. The total amount of time spent is at minimum double vs DIY.

Been changing oil since the 6th grade, but maybe I'm an "old guy" now?

1. Change your own oil
2. Send a sample to Blackstone Laboratory
3. Much better proof than the dealership

Never had warranty work denied. Never had any loss of resale/trade-in value. Never had anyone ask to see oil records from a dealership or my permanent record from high school, lol.

Do what you like, but I don't trust anyone the dealership only trusts with an oil change. @brkdncr probably couldn't get other work done at the same time because they scheduled their Bronco with a lot porter/oil monkey and not a mechanic/service tech.

Not sure about yours, but my ford dealership does online appointments, I pick day/time.

While they’re doing the oil change, I get a video of undercarriage pointing out changed oil, tires rotated (5), brake life, parts of other inspections. Technician sounds intelligent and gives me confidence for the service. Just sayin’.

My exact same experience! I live about a hour from my dealer. I was able to pick a date and time that I wanted for Ford mobile service to came to my house. He did oil change, tire rotation , fluid topoffs, and the multi point inspection which totaled $99.00. Then he did the Wiper Recall and the TSB for the subwoofer rattle that were covered under warranty and no charge. The young service tech was extremely polite, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He was here for about an hour and a half.
And not one drop of fluid was seen on my shop floor after he left.
