Maybe I skimmed it too fast but there's nothing in the flag code about the direction of the stripes on a uniform. Specifically in section 7

This has been fun and now back to work.
But I do agree with the message of there are too many people doing military cosplay.

It says that when a flag is displayed, which you are doing if you are wearing a patch, stars are to the left when looking at it face on.
