Ok, might seem odd.... but would anyone know if I could run an air nailer from an on board compressor with a tank??????

I plan on building a camp next summer... and if I could use my on board compressor for this... Well, let's just say it would be easy to convince my better half that we "need" it.....

Other option is to just plug my pancake compressor to the 12v outlet but don't tell her that....

I think a small generator would be easier and more useful for many reasons.

Damit.... Keep this man away from my wife...

I want onboard air to air up my tires. But.... If it can double as an air source for an air nailer. It would be easy to justify....

Electric nail guns are pretty good these days.

Just get both.

Tire air requirements are pretty different from nail gun requirements.

the 110 in the vehicle is very low amps. it will not run a compressor. it is just meant for things like laptops. you can get a compressor with a tank but the size of compressor needed to keep up with a framing nailer will be quite a beast. you should be fine with smaller nailers with a tank but framing takes too many CFM. you would only get 1 shot every few seconds.
