I’m sure being in 4WD and having the piss driven out of this preproduction badlands all weekend - this 4.0mpg might just be accurate. I guess you can factor in the AC and 102 Texas heat into the equation as well.

My plow truck gets about 5 mpg working in the winter, but 13 mpg normal around town driving summer. It's all about use and idle time.

Haha, that’s where my eye went too.

These pre-production vehicles are a) getting the crap driven out of them off road and on road, b) getting abused, and c) pre-production vehicles which I’m guessing won’t be up to spec to customer builds in all aspects, and d) likely idling all day long in the extreme heat to keep the AC going.

I'd agree that it is probably sitting and idling a lot in the heat.

It should peak today where I am a bit east of you. I believe yesterday was supposed to be the worst on the coast.
Check out the temperature it got in Lytton yesterday, and that's supposed to be broken again today.

Usually I'd agree, but it's all relative.

So is this like, really hot? I have no relative comparison to 56C. Light jacket weather I assume...

I assume you're being facetious about the jacket, but just in case, and before I Google it for you, this was the temp at the windshield that had sat in the direct sun all day. 56 Celsius is 133 Fahrenheit.

I would say this means nothing. The trip computer had probably been reset at fill up or some other reason, takes a while to catch up to reality.

That looks good considering it took 20+( had to add 5 on the trail) gallons & 4 days to run the 33 miles of the Duesy in my XJ. About 1.65 MPG
