I think there is a time/place for the retro nostalgia. We all know the EBs are the prize that everyone seeks. But for me the OG camper doesn't add any value. I would look at that EB as a nice platform scrapping the camper and fitting it with a modern truck bed camper. Ashley and others kicked around some ideas a while ago.

I just keep wondering what it smells like inside.

The Bronco and original Four Wheel Bronco camper would definitely be worth keeping as a pair, there are probably only a handfull still around. At some point keeping things original if possible is worth it just for history alone. I had an '86 Ranger with a Four Wheel camper and have never been without a popup camper since, incredibly versatile.

I think it’s pretty cool, just not sure I’d be inclined to use it.

I recognize collector value and I'll leave it to others to curate as they see fit. For me, I love the pictured EB. But the camper would be scrapped and a modern truck bed camper retrofitted

I know what you mean. I've done some resto-mod work, which is generally easier and produces are more usable product than pure restoration. I was just noting some things should be preserved and one could use a different canvass if wanting a heavily modified rig.
