This is the first year we have been able to attend United By Bronco (UBB). It's been on my wife's list ever since the first year. I'm letting her do the majority of the driving. The event officially starts tomorrow, but we rolled into Hurricane a day early to check out Sand Hollow for ourselves for a bit. We did some of Razzle Dazzle, had some fun in the dunes, but the most impressive stop by far was to do the Chute... twice! More pics and video in the coming days as the event kicks off!
DAY 2!! Johns Trail and Top of the World!
Johns trail was awesome. The 3" lift and 37s feel like they were made for this kind of trail. Rarely ever hit. And the Nitto Ridge Grapplers aired down to 14psi were perfect. Excellent grip the whole time.
We then played in the dunes to get out to to of the world. Needed to perform about 3 or 4 recoveries of the rigs with us that just took wrong lines.
Day 3!! We tried Milt's Mile... which turned into Milt's half mile, since we only made it halfway. We had an early 90s full size bronco snap his rear drive shaft, then a 6gen bust his CV. My wife was hitting all the hard lines like a champ, showing everyone up for the second day in a row. She even tried the Middle Monkey... which didn't go so good and ended with a souvenir on the passenger door. We won't get it fixed, is a good badge of honor. After that, we booked it over to the Chute for the Chute Challenge. My wife tried to get the slowest time up... unsuccessfully. But she did make it look super smooth!
Final Day! Took me a bit to get these pics together. Last day was an easy one for us, Wayne's World, saw the reason the Fallen is called the Fallen, went out to West Rim, and ended the day at the vendor meet up. All in all, the best off road trip I've ever been on... and i never even drove!
