I looked into the new Defender and thankfully the Bronco showed up! I could afford the Defender but yeah could not bear to beat it up. Not so with the Bronco! The Bronco is more or less what the old defender used to be. So not sure how well the Defender will sell. So far I have seen one on the road.

$80K is nothing... that’s early 2000’s Land Rover LR prices

Motor Trend has been bought and paid for for at least 20 years.

I did see one today in my 'hood and it's not a terrible looking SUV; looks like most Toyota/Lexus "big" stuff. It is simply not a real Defender, though.

FWIW, people who have actually driven them really like them. MT is not beholden to the off road crowd, it's got an off-roady feel but still practical and comfortable. $80k is pretty loaded, once there are a bunch sitting on lots I imagine you'll see a lot in the $55k-65k range.

Unless something shocking happens with some other manufacturer (like Rivian launching their truck and SUV at the same time), you can almost guarantee that the Bronco will win in 2021, IMO of course.

For 2 of these you get a G wagon to go mall crawling with a V8 and 22” rims!

Starts under 50k. I've seen 2 110s with steelies in my 'hood, so that's not unreasonable since some Wranglers and Bronco builds can go into the 60s.
Let’s not kid ourselves. The weight of the new defender means you’ll want to upgrade powertrain if you plan to do any off roading or overlanding that constantly takes you up big mountains. And that engine upgrade? $13,000

I think the 50 to 60k asking price for a well equipped Bronco is about 20 to 30k too much. So yes, the Defender is way overpriced, in my humble, blue collar, single household income opinion. That said... I'm still getting a Bronco.

ngl, until the 90s, lots of people were wheeling with Yotas and Jeeps that saw less than 150hp on a good day.

anyone else seen this? $80k Defender SUV of the year. how many people can afford that?? and it’s gonna be a mall crawler at that price point. so out of touch especially during these times...maybe it’s just me...
Wait til you see what the dealers are going to charge for First Edition Broncos that were reserved by jackasses that didn't actually want them, and the dealers end up with them. I guarantee you there will be $80k+ FE Broncos in dealer showrooms next summer. Fords supposed 'penalty' to dealers for doing this will be a slap on the wrist compared to the +$10k ADM's they'll be making off them.

I have a new 110. It is definitely a posh SUV that can go off-road but 99% won't.

G-wagen has three factory lockers, SFA, and with the portal axles will crawl over a damn mountain.
