My folks reserved an Outer Banks edition. I was considering the six slots in the grill and then it hit me. The Bronco R has 6 small light bars. This will likely be an optional add on for the Outer Banks style grill I’m guessing.

This was specifically mentioned in a video with the chief designer for the Bronco. The 6 light bars were a nod to the 6 hole grill.

Probably not the best idea to take the 6 holes designed for cooling flow and obstruct them with light bars.....

According to the Ford.com/Bronco website, that grill belongs to the Big Bend trim package.

I did the amber lights in my Trd Pro. Thinking of doing the same to my Bronco.

OB still has the 6 holes, just different lights...

So I purchased the OB grill in hopes to do this but now that I have it in hand I am rethinking it. If I only did the bottom 3 do you think there will be a cooling issue?

I am doing Amber backlit on the 'BRONCO' letters to give this effect as well as light up the 'BRONCO' letters

Blocking the air here would be a good way to wreck your turbos.

So after removing the grille there is a large plastic plate that blocks the top half of the grill. Behind that the intercooler is also blocked. I assume this is to keep people out from under your hood. Since all but 1 duct is blocked currently with my badlands camera mount with a OB grill. I should be ok to put lights in the top 3 and let the bottom 3 scoop air like normal?
