I am lucky enough to have an Outer Banks scheduled for January. To get it sooner, I walked away from the SAS package - I will never need it all and just liked the look. I am glad I did that as it seemed to work in my favor.

However, never seeing an OBX in person, I am anticipating the stance will not be what I want in the long run. I appreciate the Wildtrak stance and drive a demo model and was Impressed. I like the OBX stock wheels and don’t plan to get rid of them anytime soon. I am actually not a big fan of much, If any, poke.. I have scoured this forum for well over a year learning and reading about fitment. Just this week, I found a decent video that shows 35x12.5x18 will rub (below).

I would prefer the 35x12.5x18 and am considering options to make it happen while maintaining as much stock as possible. Has anyone placed spacers on their Bronco? Anyone measured their wheel studs? It appears that an 18 mm offset is the money for not rubbing for 35’s. That’s under an inch. I know there is controversy over spacer use. I am not off roading and know quality of product and correct fit is essential.

Your triggers are an underrated success. I laughed more than I thought I would at that. Good luck in your pursuit!

Thank you for posting this. I am in the same boat - removed sasquatch from my OBX to get it sooner, and am wanting to add 35's once I get it. I like a little wheel poke though, but maybe like an inch. I don't plan on doing any crazy off-roading, just some dirt trails.

The stock OBX offset is +55. That’s why those 35x12.50’s rub. If you went to -18 offset like guy in video you’re gonna have a ton of poke which you said you’d rather not have.

A 2” spacer lift should give the clearance over that upper control arm and slight rub on frame. Believe guys have done that with success.

If you want to keep stock wheels you either need to go to slightly smaller tire than 35x 12.50’s or lift it.

I’m running 295/70’s which is roughly a 34”x11 with 2” spacer and +12 offset on non SAS OBX. No rub but do have some poke which I prefer with stance.

Good luck.

Thanks for the information. I would love to see your ride. I have almost come to terms that I will need to have a bit of poke - hence my thoughts on the spacers at the hub. I also would love to not lift it if I don’t have to do so. Most likely rolling stock until I burn the factory tires. By then I can copy someone else easily!

Those look really good. That poke isn’t bad at all. Would you absolutely need a lift?
