Looks fantastic. What is the purpose of the diesel container for your set up?

Thanks. Yes, you can still take them off while the rack is on
Well Iā€™ll be, with the Ford roof rack I can only remove the front two panels.

Nice set up! Can you remove the front and second row roof panels with the rack on?
Front and middle panels are removable! With more space than OEM rack but overall height is less than the OEM rack.

Very cool build though. Like to see ideas for ours. We were just in NC last week. I didnā€™t get to take the Bronco exploring off road and bummed because of it. We were right down the road from Patriot Mountain ORV park, 2 miles. Damn.

Thanks for posting. I've been wanting to see a how the skycamp looks on the Bronco

Do you happen to have a head on shot from the front or the back? Wanting to see how much overhang, if any, it has
I don't have that pic on hand but I can tell you the iKamper overhangings the rack roughly 3 inches on each side (right/ left)

awesome setup, by the way what is your freeway MPG?
Thanks. Not sure - I haven't tracked MPG too closely so far. I can say the wind noise is not as bad as one might expect.

Nice build? You running a diesel heater for the tent? My diesel heater on my cargo trailer conversion is plumbed to a yellow Rotopax like yours.
Thank you. Yes, running a diesel heater occasionally on icy nights

Well Iā€™ll be, with the Ford roof rack I can only remove the front two panels.
Pretty much any of the aftermarket roof racks (actual racks, not just crossbars) are set up to be able to remove the front and middle panels

Beautiful build @CA.BRONC! I enjoy touring around the 3 districts of Pisgah N.F. and mapping, especially pinning all of the good dispersed camping spots. I'm sure you probably use OnX Offroad, but if by chance you don't, that is a great way to discover new trails and routes that you might not have known about. There are hundreds of miles of trail and forest roads in western NC to play on. I am from Burlington but play in the mountains most weekends if you would be interested in linking up sometime.
Love it - Thanks for sharing. I'm here in Charlotte, NC. Sounds great - shoot me a message next time you're planning a trip

Sick build, Iā€™m also in NC in Wake Forest near Raleigh. I only have a AWD 2005 Honda CRV right now but I go to Jefferson National Forest in VA often. Iā€™ve only checked out Fenwick Mines extensively so far. Found it on ONX. Itā€™s a 3-4 hour drive from me. Beautiful views and camping spots. Iā€™m planning on checking out Overstreet Creek, Parkerā€™s Gap, and the Little North Mountian WMA when it gets warmer. But thereā€™s a lot more tougher stuff in the area as well if your up to it.
I drove an old 06 Nissan Altima for a decade before my Bronco. Doesn't take a fancy rig to get out and adventure, as it sounds like you know. Thanks for sharing
