What are some of your favorite places to overland / camp?

One of my favorite trails to hike is the Art Loeb. There is one old railroad path (Ivestor Gap) that runs parallel to a section of the Art Loeb that I've seen overlanders on, driving in and setting up camp. It seems like the perfect use for the Bronco - set up base camp and then do some long day hikes out into the Shining Rock Wilderness / Pisgah National Forest. Not my video:

Do you guys have any recommendations?

Van Riper park in Upper Michigan – there’s no great sightseeing or lots of trails with different trails for hiking or biking., and honestly there’s not much to recommend unless you like to be calm and peaceful. It’s a typical standard campground. https://wildproofgear.com/tips-for-camping-on-a-budget/
Anyway, I camped there as a kid and I’ve camped there as an adult. It’s gorgeous and quiet.

I'm in Greensboro (Bronco delivery in the next 2 weeks!) we've really only done OBX and Uwharrie for Overlanding and plan to do both with the Bronco. We had a plan to do Hurricane Creek but the engine in the XJ decided it needed to be removed so I am without a 4x4 until either the new engine shows up OR the bronco gets delivered.

I live in Waynesville NC and I was able to do Hurricane Creek back in November. I plan to explore Pisgah National Forest for long day trips and overnight trips. I think that most important think to not do is go out be yourself. I would be happy to meet up with other people who are interested in going out to Piegan National Forest / roads.

In addition, I just stated a NC club on Bronco6G so I can connect more people around the area.
