Hi all, looking for some advice. I noticed three dots near the passenger door corner of the hood. Not sure what caused it but it’s clear the paint is chipping. I do keep the bronco clean and I don’t drive through acid baths 😂

is this an issue to take to the dealer?Or diy? Or just a body shop?

That's chemical for sure. Something dripped/dropped on your bronco.

If you have low miles take it to dealership and make a claim. They may or may not take it as that is near impossible from the factory. If that was from the factory you would have seen it right away and it would have been bubbled.

I am getting the paint protection so I hope I can avoid this.

I agree with @djp. Something dripped on the paint. I would not hold your breath of the dealer doing anything for it. If it wasn't seen, mentioned, or as apparent at delivery then you are most likely S.O.L.

If you have it painted you can't put PPF on the car (technically) for 30 days. A lot more chips can occur in 30 days. You could just touch it up and and PPF over it, but you will always notice it.

Sorry man. That is a bummer.

since January, about 12k miles. Been driving it everywhere as you can see
Damn. No harm, no foul hitting dealer first. They are experts and finding a way to no. Should be a simple fix at a body shop. Good luck.Keep us posted.
