Ceramic coatings are great, but like everyone else said, they are not a replacement for PPF. I ceramic coatings on my street cars and love them.

The sides are prone to pinstrip trail rash.What areas should be covered? I'm considering full PPF but contemplating if worth doing the rear portion since not prone to rock chips.

Yes. Once you get rock chips you'll regret not getting them. You can also wait until 3M makes their own clear bra and you can probably do it yourself for half the cost. That's my plan.Title is self-explanatory.
