I'd like for it to have a Hand Leaver (center console area & expecilly this with a Manual). Second choice would be Electronic.

I'm really really really hoping for a real hand lever parking brake. I hate the idea of electric, especially in a manual transmission offroader.

Does anybody do foot parking brakes any more?

I want double parking brakes, foot pedals preferred, one for each rear wheel. But that needs to go along with a twin-sticked NP205 transfer case so that I can run it in FWD w/ one locked rear wheel to turn on a dime on tight trails.

I don't like the idea of electronic at all, I rent vehicles weekly for work and I hate the electronic breaks in the newer cars. It's just not natural to me.

Then again I also prefer the hand lever because my Titan and Armada's have foot brakes, and I forget them almost every time I take-off.

Hand lever please! Far more useful than anything else

If we're in magical dream land I also want it to have a rear drive disconnect so you can do handbrake turns while in 4wd mode.

I don't really care about the brake. I'm just commenting because I think it's hilarious that people are discussing emergency brakes on a Bronco. :cwl:

it is useful for twin sticking and trail riding, but that will (likely) never be a possibility on a newer (RWD/4WD) vehicle just because of the custom work and manual components it takes. But...if they put in the option to run FWD/RWD/4WD with the T-case then it may be worth looking into doing the custom dual e-brake again.

I think think it will be electronic, and I would not be surprised to see this featured show up:

Especially since the indicator light looks very similar to a button on the Bronco Dash:

well, if it has that, then ignore all my shit above, that does the exact thing that you twin stick and double parking brake for.

They are brining all the 10-25 year old toyota tech to us. Electric locking diffs, turn assist, trail control, etc.

Even with the Turn Assist, there are times (with a manual transmission) that you'll need one foot on the clutch and the other on the gas and (ideally) one hand on the Hand Brake. Yes, this is a Manual Transmission vehicle issue, as a vehicle with an Automatic would rarely if ever be in situation that would benefit from a Hand Brake.

I think anything with an electronic parking brake and a manual transmission also has a hill hold assist as well to help with that, the vehicle will automatically prevent you from rolling backwards on hills.

I'd still rather have a manual handbrake, but I doubt we'll get one.

Manual hand brake like I had on my old Mazda B2000...

Okay, not really practical on the trail, but in addition to the manual transmission it was a great anti-theft device.
