Remote unlock doors, and opened the driver door. Message "Parking Brake Failure - Service Now" on the screen, and a two-tone dinging. Message disappeared before attempting to start the vehicle. Start was normal, no warnings or messages appeared after start. Only have 220miles on the odometer.

Anyone else have this happen? Thoughts?

I don't think I've ever paid attention. I'm just going to drive until it won't go anymore and hope for the best

Mine did that one time! It was also pretty new. Maybe under 500 miles. I have about 2500 on it now and it’s never done it again.

It’s a auto and I was not in a hill or anything so the parking brake was not set.

Same build, same thing happened once. That was > 1,000 miles ago. Nothing since.

Happened to me once a few months ago. It flashed, I restarted, and haven't seen it since.

Had that happen around the 500 mile mark . Checked the parking brake and could hear it engaging and disengaging as it switched it from on and off. As a precaution I took it to the dealer, they did a full inspection and couldn’t find anything wrong. Also your ford app which is supposed to log these things never logged that error either. Does it show up in the app?

I did not think to check, thanks! Nothing logged on my app, either.

Happen twice to me too. Once around 500 miles and again around 2000. Full disclosure, I did drop the lower dash panel to install some stereo equipment close to the second time.

Hi there! Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info? I'd like to look into things on my end. Thanks!
