@Bmadda,
Sounds like exactly the procedure the OP needs!

Can you perhaps save/repost that as a screen capture or pdf file? It looks like html cut/paste with much of the useful information missing....

Electric parking brake is the dumbest idea since frozen toast.

How does Ford take something as simple and reliable as a parking brake and fudge it up.
It’s not just Ford, most makes of vehicles have them.

Maybe we can find someone to make a jumper harness long enough to reach the vehicles battery. That can be a primary attempt to releasing them before resorting to having to pull the cover off. I have had to do this before on a different vehicle.

I don't think that is a good idea, as you have no torque control. The actuators are wired direct to the ABS module, which must use "amp out" for force control. You would likely break them if you powered them directly.

Interesting I’ve never once had any issues and have done this a handful of times. It’s how I’ve had to set parking brakes on dead vehicles in the past. You could be right though. I know window motors have this same feature but it’s built into the motor itself

Not a desirable event to have a failure 30 miles off pavement in the desert.

Please post the details of the actual fix

The manual release appears to be another internal Torx+ bolt. Anyone know the size ?
Earmark it for a must-have in the spares/tool kit.

Not saying you can't do it and be fine...just don't wanna reccomend that to somebody and have them break something

On the bright side you might win the lemon law if the issue does not get resolved after multiple services
Why are so many so quick to turn to lemon law? I'm not anxious to start another 2 year wait for another one, I'd want mine fixed.

mine hasnt stuck on though, it just throws a bunch of errors and makes me push it off manually. so far...

Ill be in the dealer Tuesday for diagnosis.
