I live in a renovated 1901 farmhouse in the smallest incorporated city in Tennessee. Nothing is standard lol.

Search BIRD SPIKES on Amazon. Has worked the treat under my deck.
if there’s something in your carport to attach to…probably is if birds can roost there.

Fake owl mannequin...
Ha Ha, I had one of those in my 3 sided barn to keep birds out, 2 observations:
1. They don't work, tweety birds didn't mind having a barn buddy
2. Three real owls moved in, attacked mannequin, knocked him off his perch
3. (bonus) (real) Owls poop a lot and it doesn't come off vehicle hoods easily

Here's my carport...farm-style. Those eaves are like a bird hotel. It looks like a tarp or cockpit cover for me. Thanks for the actual and humorous responses.
I’d put nets up like they do in parking garages and stadiums

Edit @TheJohnyBlue I forgot the quote:

I thought about this. Would it be easier than just raising the top? Would I scratch the paint putting on/taking off?

I hope someone else is the first guinea pig.
I haven't actually gotten my hands on one yet, I also have a carport/park outside. So i will be doing the same. Not to mention parking outside in the heat, should help keeping the sun off the seats and somewhat rain resistant.

Using the word "mannequin" around people who are still waiting for their own Bronco might not be a good idea...

That said, would this work? I've had a fake snake up there for years to no avail.
No lol I figured it would be funny, never tried it.

a big flat bed sheet should work well. light weight folds up small and shouldn't scratch the paint. just use a couple of clothes pins to hold it in place... tyou might even be able to find a matching color...

Birds don’t like plastic or shiny moving things. I’ve used plastic sheeting in the roof area (stapled it across the top of the joists. If they do go in there they’ll crap on the sheeting. I’ve also used garland. You can pick up some nice shiny 4th of july garland at Dollar tree. It would be a nice decoration. Both have worked for me.

How about a Bimini top or mesh top? It works kindof like a shade or awning. Still let’s light sunlight and air through but provides some level of shade which helps keep you from sunburning and should catch bird poop if coming from above. You should be able to leave in place with a folding soft top and maybe even with a hard top, or simply remove when not wanted.

If the birds are actually landing IN the interior of your vehicle it wouldn’t help you though.

The mesh top will only catch the solid poop.

Back when I had the stock soft top I used this when I left it outside overnight with the top down and doors off. Sorry for the garbage pic. But it worked great for keeping animals and moisture out of it. Now I have a Trektop so the roof stays in place and this won't fit over that so I just leave it naked. Have had zero problems.

Speaking of which its a Bestop Trailer Cover or something like that for a 2 door JK, I'll sell it to whoever wants it! It's been sitting in my basement for years now.
