I know this has been posted before, but having a hard time tracking the post down. I'm in discussions with buying a hard top from a member and selling my soft top to another member. I know there's a few parts that you need, so can anyone enlighten me on:

1. What parts I might have to order going from a soft top to hard top?
2 What parts someone might need going from a hard top to a soft top?
3. Can we just switch parts?

These are all OEM tops.

Maybe my title/post was a bit confusing. What I meant was, if I bought a hardtop from someone, what extra pieces do I need to get it to work on my bronco that originally had a soft top originally.

When I switched my top I needed the bracket from the soft top above the rear doors, bracket in the panels that pop out where the soft top bolt/unbolt from, also the side panel on the outside where the soft top side windows clip/hold in. The hardtop didn’t need any switching or any extra parts I believe, just fits right on the vehicle.

Damn ok. I asked my dealer what parts were needed but he didn’t know so I have no clue what to order…

If your Bronco was built after Sept 2021, you will need no extra parts to go from soft top to MIC.

To go from MIC to soft top, regardless of build date, takes a small pile of parts worth around $200.

Awesome! Did you do the switch or you know someone that did? Just verifying all this because I don't wanna make the long trek to California from Chicago and need a small part haha!

While we’re on the subject if anyone’s looking to sell their hard top in the New England area, hit me up.

Were you built before or after 9/1/21? If after, and buying a complete assembly, nothing. If prior, understanding the rear defrost, wiper and washer will not be usable, a couple brackets on the roll bar that the panels lock to and handful of bolts.

I am just some guy with a 4 door hard top passing through trying to be helpful.. @smoot618 :D

Not sure if this is of any help but I had a photo from above taken with my drone before I ever added any hardware for my Gearshade top.

It only takes 2 longer torx bolts and 8 shorter torx bolts to mount/remove the hard top (along with locking/unlocking the hard top latches from inside the truck)

@CheekyOldMan - from the parts list I am getting a total of $8,826.27!? Is that correct? Is that what you are willing to pay?

@smoot618 top swap complete over here. If you're getting a complete unit @flip is correct, it should be a straight up swap. You'd need to sell two brackets and two plastic covers along with the associated hardware to whoever buys the soft top so they can use it. In terms of the hardtop, it's 10 total M8x24(?) bolts that attach it.
