How can a dealer tell you that you will fall behind their other reservation holders if you switch to them regardless of timestamp? It doesn’t work that way, the dealer doesn’t have that power. They submit orders and Ford builds them in the order they determine, right?

I was confused as well. I think perhaps he meant Dealer allocation. He said I'd be behind the people already attached to that dealer with their reservation.

I've never paid sticker price either, but I am for this rig. I figure a discounted amount is only a couple thousand dollars, and that's not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, so although it kinda chaps me to pay sticker, it's alright.

I see that, especially for us Base buyers where invoice is around less than $500 under MSRP..... not sure I want to drive 7 hours each way for 1500.
I mean, I'm down for a road trip and all, but damn....

Does not matter, if your stamp is earlier than every other customers, you bump them, you're the new #1.
If you only bump into the 21st spot and they only have 20 allocated ....see you in 2022.

that dealer doesnt know what they are talking about...

timestamps...they are still thinking of priority codes

Nobody wants to waste money, but... (and I've said this before) nobody remembers the money. Not you, not the forum members, not your neighbor.

Nobody is going to be on the trail asking you "did you get under MSRP for that?" What they will be asking about is all the cool shit on your rig.

Do what you can. Get the car you want. You'll always remember the Bronco. You'll never remember the money.

My dealer said no way in hell he's going below MSRP for the Bronco.

I just looked at him, slight smile on my face, ready to let him have it, and blurted out "2 door Badlands, Cactus Gray, Sasquatch, 2.7L please." And then thanked him for placing my order.

More like 3-4K for some of us and were getting it shipped. Well, I’m not because I’d rather go on a road trip for fun.

Me too, but I’m in Alaska and my options are very limited. I’m sure the few dealers who are here are on the same page with MSRP.
