I know there is some controversy about how much payload some of these Broncos have…or don’t have.

4 door, base, Sasquatch, soft top, 2.7. It had just under a full tank, WITHOUT me in it.

Steer axle weight: 2,720
Drive axle weight: 2,120
Gross: 4,840
GVWR: 6,100lbs
Actual payload: 1,260lbs

Thanks. But am I missing an image? What's the number from the factory we should be comparing it to? Did you gain more payload? Not sure if Ford understated or overstated the gross weight.

For what it’s worth, my 2 door jeep on 37’s was only 100lbs less. It only had a 5,000lb GVWR.
It did have a 3/16” steel rear bumper, 3/16” steel skid plates, heavy wheels and suspension components.

I was planning on weighing my 4dr BL non-squatch, lux, tow w/ soft top on Monday. But maybe I should actually do it prior to swapping out the oem top for the best top trektop this weekend to see what the weight difference is.

That's not too bad.

I think part of the confusion is the offhand expression that small cars weigh one ton and huge cars weigh two tons. Cars have not been that light for decades. Sub-compacts that would have weighed 12-1600 lbs in the '70's are now over 3000 lbs but since they look small, most people assume that they are still light.

4800lbs ain’t all that bad. My 2018 4Runner was about the same and our F-150 is closer to 4700 but that’s 2wd and all aluminum bodied. This helps make my decision for a base Squatch. How do you like it?
