PDM,DDM Updates - Can they be done by the mobile tech?

I just wondered if this is something I can have done by a mobile tech or if I will have to arrange to have the Bronco left at a dealer to do this. Does anyone know?

A few weeks ago I looked in FDRS, there was no updates for either of those modules (I do have a 2021).
Is it a module that's being updated, or configuration, either way I did not see any thing listed.
Is this something listed in FDRS?

It’s a module update. Not all models will have an update available though.

From what I read, there is a PDM/DDM updates to enable the window short drop feature on 4 door broncos.

It’s a module update. Not all models will have an update available though.

Do you know what the criteria is, I wouldn't believe they use different modules.

I think it’s mainly 2 door vs 4 door. It seems like most 4 doors have the update available for the new window drop function, but my 2 door doesn’t have any updates for it yet. (Although it’s been a month or so since I’ve checked)

Might be worth looking into if you want that function. I’ll have to check mine again tomorrow and see if there’s anything new.

Edit: Nevermind I totally forgot you said you didn’t have any updates. Maybe there is some other criteria that we aren’t aware of.

And just to confirm, FDRS can be done by a mobile tech? I really want to avoid leaving at dealer for days.

Our mobile techs are capable of it, so I would assume most, if not all, other dealerships would be also. But I would just call the dealership to make sure they can do mobile updates with FDRS.

Do you expect the 2dr will eventually get this update? Guessing it still has a DDM and PDM but different than a 4dr since the latter got 2 extra doors.
