That looks more like hot pepper red on the Ranger than race red.

Completely agree!! And Ford totally should have offered that on the Bronco. Would have made my color choice way easier.

Here’s one. Where did you hear September B&P? Was it from an official Ford announcement? Or Twitter or some random post on the forums? Mike Levine originally said December. Then he said “sometime before September “ so not really a big deal. And @mrlevine is only working with the best info he can get.

It does appear to have Wildtrak badging with a gloss black painted Badlands grill and the standard gray hardtop, which if a Wildtrak, should have the black painted top. Preproduction mule?

Also looks like a grey top?

The red looks pretty nice. I can picture it with either a painted black or color matched top. They're certainly not making any effort to show the top in these pics.

PLEASE don't let this have glossy mirrors as compared to the rest of the black components...

The WIldtrak has a gloss shadow black roof, side view mirrors, and grill. The fender flares and bumpers are matte.

You're right!!! And I love Rapid red. I now must buy it. Rapid red is amazing. I will buy a florescent light kit that sits above my vehicle so that I can have it look a smidge orange all the time, I'll have to put a shade above that so I can ensure the sun never makes it look like every other red ford on the road. Thanks!!!????

The exact quote from Mike Levine was “by September at the latest”.
You can interpret that however you want, but that’s exactly what he said.

Definitely the lighting messing with the hue of Rapid Red, and not some evil conspiracy by Ford to make all the colors look different for… whatever reasons people think they would have for doing such a thing.

Every thread about colour here shows that a lot of people could learn a bit more about lighting and photography.

The flares and cowl/mirror stems are the same color and texture (black, as we've seen the whole time) and still much darker than the top.

I just needed someone to say it. I blame my phone....

This whole two-tone plastic thing is less than ideal.

Not if you order a modular top..it's painted. Just have the dealer order you one and throw it in with the financing ..problem solved.
