For giggles I just measured my Raptor from the edge of the tread to the edge of the tread. It's 83". I see a couple of possibilities. #1 the Warthog will have more suspension travel than the Raptor due to longer control arms and rear coils. #2 this is just a mule with a mix of test parts. What has be baffled is the Ranger frame is about 12" narrower than the Raptor. That means that the control arms and wheel offset need to make up about 6" per side. It will be interesting to follow the progress.
i'm pretty sure the next gen ranger is being based off of the bronco, not the other way around, so you can't exactly base new bronco off of old ranger...

The frame rail width will be very close to the current Ranger.

This is my Jeep TJ with 1-1/4" spacers, JL rubicon rims and 285 tires in the Bronco Warthog tracks (from my Warthog sighting pics - link below).

Here's some stats calculated by @Apples:

  • A stock TJ is 68.3" wide + 2.5" in spacers = 70.8" width

  • It looks like the TJs passenger tire is sitting on the inside edge of the Warthogs tire track. So we add the width of a 315/70/r17 tire (12.5") and you have an overall width of 83.3" for the Bronco Warthog.

  • For perspective, compare that to the Wildtrak's width of 76.3"

Most trailers are 84 inches - Raptors need not apply.

Dont know if anyone has posted this yet but I measured my 96 Bronco which is a wide truck at 77.5" with 31x10.50 tires. So on equivilent tires it would be only 79.5". However I will state that my now defunct Quadravan E250 is about 81" to 82" thats a F350 dana 44 with 33x12.50s.

Verdict is that the warthog is wide and better atleast have the godzilla motor in it. If not then something bigger!

WT track width is 66.9 + 12.4 tire ( 315 /70/R17 ) = 79.3 overall tire edge to edge not 76.3 @Apples

I just measured my rubi. Track is 60 inches. This is outside tread to inside tread. My tire width is about 11 inches. So the WH track is around 71 inches? Per Ford the wild track is 66.9 inches. So the WH is like 4 inches wider?

I'm far more curious what motor it gets (3.5 maybe?)

As for width...

WildTrack is 6' 3" wide
Warthog is 6' 9" wide

that is literally 3" on each side...barely noticeable unless side by side IMHO basically the width of an iPhone.

Build your look, Bushwacker Fender Flares run from 2-3.5" widths on each side, then toss on backspacers and a 35x13.5 tire, same look :)
3” on each side is hugely noticeable. You have to not be paying attention to miss it. For reference - same wheels and fenders in these pics:

That looks silly. Sorry but limit mods will make it 'look' just as wides a "Warthog" math is math ;)

I don’t disagree - it needs wider fenders to look better.

I never said you couldn’t get the same look. You said it wouldn’t be hugely noticeable. That is objectively false based on the pics above.

Edit: it’s also not just the looks. The warthog will be wider due to increased travel. So while the look is attainable with wheel spacers, the performance will not be the same or even close.
