Quick update the M8 ram balls do not fit. The threading seems correct but it is too thick. Perhaps the M6 will fit.
The bolts that mount the handle are M6 by 1

I love the ingenuity.

However, it kinda seems like that would negate the functionality of the grab handle (not sure that anyone would really use it anyway though)? And the cupholders are like 3in aft of where the mount places the phone so why not just put your phone in the forward cupholder?

Oh right, because the Bronco has more tires than cupholders.
If the goal is to have a visible phone (for, um, driving?) adjacent to the massive 12" screen that does Nav and connectivity but not social media, then the functionality of the grab handle would be pretty low on the Mall of America parking lot pimpin' list.

So part of this is habit and other part is I like seeing texts.
Oh for sure!!!!

I still have a lot of bad habits from drivers training and individualized motorsports coaching. Most of those bad habits require me to use the windows and mirrors constantly.

We all have our personal battles. Hopefully there's also a "Baby on Board" or "New Driver" sticker on the back to warn others to pay extra of your surroundings on your behalf.
