Does anyone know if Rapid Red is a new color to Ford? Will the dealer body shop have it in stock?
WTF? Id want a new hood, not a body shop hood. That’s ridiculous.bondo is not a commodity either - which is what it looks like I am getting.
^^ thisThis is the downside of special order cars - which all of these are. Typically, a good number of cars arrive at dealerships with some damage, but they don't go on the sales floor until they are fixed. We are learning about all the damage because we know when they are being delivered. I hate it for everyone that has to deal with it, but it may be more common for other cars it's just this forum is scrutinizing every minor detail.

I will get some tonight when I go down to the dealership.Need better pix
I feel your pain.Waiting on photos from the sales manager - he has informed me that there is damaged theroofhood of the Bronco.
The sales manager is supposed to give me my options tonight for how to address it.
updated: photo attached. There is one paint chip spot and several dents equivalent to what you would see from a hail stone
Paintless dent repair. Hoods are easy. Quite an industry actually. Main thing the OP needs to do is make sure the repair does no show up on a database anywhere...Fill in the dents?
I’ve used a dent guy who does magic pulling/pushing/rubbing out dents.
And I have given him some good sized dents to work on!
Yes there’s a story behind each one, but my lips are sealed.
I accidentally replied to the wrong damage thread.I will get some tonight when I go down to the dealership.
yea - what is your dealership saying?
No, if it hits a certain $$ they have to do a disclosure statement but a hood won’t hit that. That is state mandated, this is basically a warranty claim.Question: @flip or anyone else - will there be an insurance claim registered against my VIN by the dealership against the transpo company?
