So....I'm doubting a full sized 1911 isn't going to fit
That was my question, too. Real bummer. My Kimber full size 1911 is 8.7" in length. Vault height is 8". I'll try it when I get mine next week but doesn't sound like it's going to work. Maybe time for that G29 I've been thinking about... 🤔

So here are some photos with two different guns. The first is with the Kimber Micro 9, and the second is a Glock 19. I think the Kimber Micro 9 with holster will do just fine inside, but I seriously doubt the Glock 19 will fit well and be easily retrievable.

Can you show a picture of the G19 and Kimber actually in the vault? (Muzzle down)

The boxes aren't meant to prevent intelligent people like the lockpicking lawyer (love that channel by the way), it's intended to stop smash and grabs from taking stuff from the center console, or in this case I intend to use it to keep my keys when I take my bicycles places.
Umm if your keys are in the center console, they can just push button start and be on their way. Lol

Im interested in this. My only concern is the size. It looks like I may have a hard time getting a subcompact pistol in a holster in there. Definitely not enough room for a full sized pistol (from the looks of it).
My first thought as well. Even if they did fit, I don’t want to limit myself to just a sub-compact. I think I’m going to go with the drawer solution. Could definitely fit some firepower in there.

I wouldn't get the cargo area vault... it takes away your ability to store the doors onboard.

With the dividers removed I could probably fit 2 SBRs and some gear.

Thanks for that. That’s news to me. And a deal breaker.

Does the regular console have a lock? Assume it does. I know it could be broken into more easily, but wonder if it locks.

It does lock. I have seen it on multiple videos and pics.

Man, it would be cool to see Lock Picking Lawyer do a quick pick of this to see how it stacks up.
